In 2009, the Foundation raised nearly $19,000 through Vincent’s 5K Run/Walk. Since 2003 we have been able to:
- Send $21,000.00 to MD Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
- Sponsor the registration of 200+ people for the National Bone Marrow Registry.
- Contribute over $26,000.00 to other local bone marrow drives.
- Buy furniture, playstations, DVDs, games, TVs, microwaves, coffeemakers, a Xmas tree and decorations for the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Johns Hopkins, where Vincent was treated.
- Provide $5,500 to the Social Work Department on the Pediatric Oncology floor at Johns Hopkins, to support families with lodging, transportation and parking, for family education materials, and for their Sibling Program.
- Donate $11,000 to pediatric cancer research at JHH Pediatric Oncology.
Since 2003, we have raised about $140,000! As of May15, the 2009 effort brought in $19,000!
